Carer Support & Response Co-ordinators
(Remote/Community Working)
Salary: £19,240 – £21,164 per annum
37 Hours per Week (20 hour Job-Share may be considered)


Carers FIRST is pleased to offer exciting opportunities to recruit to several roles of Carer Support & Response Co-ordinators, supporting the Short Breaks Service team.

We are currently developing a service that is new and different and will be an additional support to our expanding growth of Carers services across Kent and Medway. We are, therefore, seeking a team of people for this new and exciting service to enable Carers to access the support they need within their caring role, enabling them to a have short break in a more responsive and effective way.
Successful candidates will need to work closely with all of the in-house teams to understand and identify what information, guidance and support is available to Carers. The aim of this service is to provide an appropriate level of support to prevent further stress to the Carer, whilst having the skills to provide the hands on support to the person they care for. The support required maybe unplanned and for a short intense period of time or a planned regular service.

We are looking to cover the South West Kent locality of the county, including Tonbridge, Hadlow, Sevenoaks and surrounding areas.

Working on a rolling rota of 3- 4 days on and 3-4 days off dependant on length of shift hours, Monday – Sunday. Candidates will need to provide a personalised service to Carers and the cared for person based on the principles of trust, respect and dignity to conduct initial assessments to identify need and provide appropriate support planning and reviews.

You will also need to develop a strong understanding of the database. This is to enable accurate reporting and evidence to support and evaluate the services we provide

Candidates must be willing to embrace all aspects of the role, In addition it is essential you hold a full current driving licence with access to a car.

Community Support Worker South West Kent

Community Support Workers required to deliver respite/short breaks service for Carers in their own homes, in the South West Kent area.
 
Carers FIRST is currently seeking to appoint community based care support workers. Working with family carers in their own homes to care for the person with care needs. This is to enable the carer to have some time for themselves. The visits we provide are generally between 2 and 4 hours, once or twice weekly/fortnightly. Our focus is person centred, to provide a service that meet the needs and the requirements to support the cared for person. This may include support with personal care, keeping someone company and safe in the home or taking the person out.

You will need to be caring, flexible, and reliable and have a range of skills and knowledge with a passion to deliver quality services.

To be considered for these posts candidates will need to hold or to be willing to train to achieve a QCF Diploma in Health & Social Care.
Previous experience is desirable but not essential as full training will be provided.
You will need to be a car driver with an up to date licence.
YOUR OWN TRANSPORT IS ESSENTIAL

CARER SUPPORT & ASSESSMENT CO-ORDINATORS
Eastern Lincolnshire
Salary: £17,836 to £18,960
37 Hours per week


We are seeking new Carer Support & Assessment Co-ordinators, supporting Carers in the East of Lincolnshire.

The requirements of post will include pro-active identification of carers through partnership working, delivery of carer assessments and providing information, advice, guidance, emotional, supporting the running of peer support groups and practical support to meet carer needs. The successful candidates must be willing to embrace all aspects of the role, which include working in a variety of community settings. You will receive on-going training and regular supervision and appraisals.

For mileage purposes only,your mileage base will be Louth, Horncastle, Mablethorpe or Skegness.

This role is remote (community) working, with candidates requiring a full driving licence and access to a car.
