Carers FIRST appoints new chief executive                   
The Trustees are pleased to announce that Adam Rowe will be the new chief executive of Carers FIRST. He succeeds Peter Turner who has led the charity since 2011 and who has taken the decision to retire this summer.

Carers Conference at Lincoln University a big sucess! 
On the 18th November 2016 the University of Lincoln hosted the second annual Carers conference alongside Carers FIRST. The aim of the event was to develop and promote the awareness of unpaid carers amongst 250 first year students currently studying for a career in nursing.

Carers FIRST awarded contract in Waltham Forest      
Carers FIRST are delighted to announce we will be delivering services for unpaid carers who live in the London Borough Of Waltham Forest from 1 October.

The contract, funded by Waltham Forest Borough Council, will allow the charity to provide a wellbeing and independence service for those people who provide unpaid care for a friend or relative who, due to ill health, physical or mental illness, disability, frailty, or addiction cannot manage without their support.

The contract, funded by Lincolnshire County Council, will allow the charity to support people who care for a friend or family member with an illness, disability, a mental health problem or an addiction.

Exciting new partnership launched                                  

Global Insurance Company, Tokyo Marine HCC International are supporting Carers FIRST to develop and deliver life-skills workshops for Young Adult Carers.

To kick off this exciting partnership, 4 Young Adult Carers spent the day with staff at HCC on 28th January, Young Carers Awareness Day.
