Carers FIRST is a growing charity supporting adult and young carers working in areas across the South East, London, East Midlands and East of England.  A carer is anyone who looks after a relative or friend who due to ill health, physical or mental illness, disability, frailty or addiction, cannot manage without their support.

Carer Support Adviser (Newham)

Salary: £17,681 (£23,364 per annum FTE pro rata, including London weighting)

We are currently seeking a Carer Support Adviser to join our team in the London Borough of Newham. The requirements of the role will include, managing conversations with carers to identify need and provide information, advice, guidance and wellbeing support, running peer support groups and pro-active identification of carers through partnership working.

Human Resources Manager

Salary: £34,000 - £36,000 per annum, depending on experience

Hours: 37 Hours per Week

We are looking for someone with a proven track record as an HR generalist, who can show experience in managing day to day operational HR activities, of developing HR policies and systems, as well as examples of leading change initiatives.  Effective communication, engagement and stakeholder management skills are key.  You will be a member of the CIPD and qualified to Level 5.

Social Prescriber - Adults (2 Year Fixed-Term) Contract

Salary: £24,907 per annum

Hours: 37 Hours per Week

Location: Medway

We are currently seeking a Social Prescribers to join our established team. This role will work within the South PCN Primary Care Network. The successful candidate will work with GP’s and other practice staff to support patients within the surgeries on a non-medical basis. Patients will be referred to you by practice staff and you will offer support to individuals struggling with personal issues. It is evident that support from a Social Prescriber can greatly improve a patient’s health and wellbeing without the need for medical intervention.

Hours: 37 Hours per Week

Location: Medway

We are currently seeking a Social Prescribers to join our established team. This role will work within the Medway South PCN Primary Care Network working with all health care professionals to support children and young people.  The successful candidate will work with GP’s and other practice staff to support families for as long as needed and target lead.  Referrals are made by practice staff to you where you will put together a personalised plan to support children and young people along with their families.  It is evident that support from a Social Prescriber can greatly improve a patient’s health and wellbeing without the need for medical intervention.
