Passed from one 'service' to another

For months I have been trying to get support for my husband, who is schizophrenic with a drink problem. The last few months have been difficult, as he has had falls, and some memory loss. GP (we don't know any of them at the Practice), thought drink was the problem (which I guessed). Addaction won't work with him as he wouldn't try to blow into the breathalyser, and any way couldn't climb upstairs. Incontinence team would only provide pads (that problem has become less frequent) Only a new psychiatrist could see that it was a wretched situation for me, and she thought he might have Korsakoff syndrome, i.e. unsteady balance and some brain damage caused by drink. This doctor has dictated a letter to a GP, but it has not been sent out three weeks later as a secretary was off sick. She was asking the GP to contact Social Services to get a support worker. I also rang Social Services, who said that they are there for people who cannot get out, not really people who can get out(e.g. to the pub).

I have found out all I can online, which was basically pretty obvious, years of drinking, possibly also the Risperidone. I have repeated;y told CMHT I am tired out and need some help with him. Has anyone any ideas?

I can't believe you are asked why you use risperdone of course it's an antipsychotic for schizophrenia why do they not know that?
