Young Carer Update Regarding Coronavirus

We have unfortunately decided against providing any Easter activities this coming break.  This is obviously not want we would want, however, in keeping with Government advice and everyone’s personal health we felt this is the way it has to be at the moment.   It is for the same reasons we have suspended Support Groups and any school lunch clubs and drop ins’s throughout April as well.

If you or your child receives any one to one support this will predominately be over the phone or through a video messaging platform, arranged though their respective YC  support worker, for the foreseeable.  If you desperately want a face to face session please speak to your support worker and we will assess this on a case by case basis.

In order to reduce YC and YAC isolation the team will be calling to check in to make sure all is well and we will be offering video messaging sessions with each worker at specific times, so your Young Carer knows they can also chat and touch base if they feel they need to.  Equally if you or your YC or YAC wants to call us, or you would like a regular contact from us over the next few weeks to ensure communication from the outside world, please let us know.

We hope to signpost to local support networks that are popping up, and offer your Young Carer light relief with competitions, quizzes and prizes through our private Facebook groups, so if you are not a member, please accept the invitation, or ask to join so we can help relieve the boredom.

If you have any queries, worries or needs, please just give us a call or send us an email.
