Beating the winter blues: thriving in winter

11am - 1pm

Horncastle Community Centre, Manor House Street, LN9 5HF

Does your mood dip in the winter months? Do you become lethargic and find you are running on empty? You’re not alone! Seasonal Affective Disorder affects many of us this way. The prospect of a long, dark, winter can feel like a long struggle and the winter months can be a challenging time. This course explores how seasonal changes affect our mental wellbeing. We look at helpful ways we can manage ‘winter blues’- because life doesn’t have to be as bleak as the weather. With additional worries around the cost of living, it is important that we can look after our mental health. During the session we will also have time to identify what our current worries and concerns are. We will consider how this may impact our mental health, recognise ways to keep ourselves well and discuss how and when to seek support if needed.
