Burghley wellbeing walking group
11am - 1:30pm
Burghley House, Peterborough, Stamford, PE9 3JY
Carers are welcome to join us to take a lovely gentle walk around Burghley park, to have a chat with other carers. Scenery is beautiful and we get to see the deer, you can also have a hot drink afterwards in the cafe.
The Parkland was largely designed by Lancelot 'Capability' Brown in the 18th century, with natural planting and vistas towards Burghley in one direction and the spires of Stamford in the other. The sweeping acres of parkland that surround the house are home to the Burghley herds of deer and sheep. The Parkland paths are graveled and tarmacked and are suitable for all weather, however the suitable footwear and clothing should be worn for conditions on the day. Cared for is allowed only with agreement with the group facilitator and in exceptional circumstances.
Carers to meet on the gravelled path near the outside cafe.
