Carers First is pleased to be able to support adult carers in Southend-on-Sea with small grants from the Carers Relief Fund thanks to funding from Adult Social Care at Southend City Council.
The small grants on offer will support more carers with the cost of living, helping to enhance wellbeing by alleviating some of the financial burdens they may face, especially when important equipment or technology; which can not been funded by a statutory service, breaks down and leaves a carer unable to carry out their caring role.
Carers who are eligible to receive a small grant will be awarded vouchers to purchase the item(s) needed. To be eligible to apply, carers must have limited means to be able to fund replacement or new equipment, must be registered with Carers First, be aged 18+, be caring for someone else who is 18+ and be living in the same household as the person being cared for. The fund is only open until 31 March 24.
