Carers First is looking for people to join our Readers’ Panel to help us review our communications, including information on our website, such as our help and advice topics.

Co-production with carers is an important aspect of our work at Carers First, helping us to ensure that our information is relevant and a meaningful resource for carers.

Carers First produce a wide range of information for carers, on a variety of topics. We produce both Help and Advice Topics and information pages which are published on our website, available for carers to access as and when they need it:

Our Help and Advice Topics are written for both young and adult carers, friends and family. They offer an overview of common topics relating to caring, from helping someone with everyday tasks to getting financial support as a carer. Our information also includes signposting to other trusted resources and organisations for further information.

We also produce magazines, leaflets, presentations and fact sheets.

What will I do as member of the Readers' Panel?

As a member of the Carers First Readers’ Panel, we will contact you a few times a year to ask if you can review our communications. Everything will be done virtually, we will email you with the communications we would like you to review along with a short questionnaire to complete to provide us with your feedback. You can provide feedback in your own time, and review as much or as little of our communications as you like.

No previous knowledge or experience is needed. We ask that you give us your general impressions on the content, tone of voice, layout and structure and what changes you may recommend to improve the page.
