Young Adult Carers overcame their fears to try new experiences whilst having a break from their caring role and getting to make memories that will last a lifetime at our Medway Young Adult Carers Residential trip in October.
From 23 – 25 October, fifteen young adult carers from Medway took part in an action packed residential experience in Tonbridge, Kent. Swinging from high ropes and night hikes, to canoeing and archery; the young adult carers who joined in were pushed to their limits both physically and mentally before S’mores were enjoyed around the campfire.
Building friendships along the way and developing their resilience, some of the young adult carers said:
“I have loved everything about this trip. It’s been an amazing get away and much needed break pushing me to my limits on every way possible.”
“I enjoyed attending this residential. It was nice to step outside of my comfort zone a bit.”
