Have You Experienced Poverty in Your Caring Role?
The Carer Poverty Project - a joint campaign by Carers First and Medway Foodbank is raising awareness of the severe financial hardship faced by unpaid carers. At Carers First, we know many carers are being pushed to the brink, with some relying on food banks just to get by.
Following their initial coverage on how the project aims to reduce the number of carers using Foodbanks, Meridian News is filming a follow-up story and wants to hear directly from carers who have experience of using a foodbank, either recently or in the past. If you are, or have been, an unpaid carer in this situation, your voice could be a powerful force for change.
As a thank you, carers who are interviewed and whose stories are featured in the media will receive a complimentary £60 voucher in appreciation of your time and contribution.
Your story can help:
-
Shine a light on the reality of carer poverty
-
Influence decision-makers
-
Improve support for carers in Medway and beyond
You won’t be alone – Carers First and Medway Foodbank will support you every step of the way.
