Carers First wishes you a Diwali that brings happiness, prosperity and joy to you and all your family.
Diwali is the Hindu 'Festival of Lights', celebrated thousands across England. Beyond it's Indian origins, Diwali has become a symbol of multiculturalism and togetherness in the UK. The festival serves as a bridge, connecting various cultures and cultivating harmony among people of different backgrounds. The streets come alive with vibrant lights and colours during Diwali.
Educational institutions use Diwali as a platform for cross-cultural learning, promoting understanding and respect. The festival's core message of light overcoming darkness, knowledge triumphing over ignorance, and good prevailing over evil resonates deeply, fostering positivity and unity. Diwali is a celebration of diversity, a reminder of shared values, and an invitation for all to join in the celebration of light, love, and unity.
Naresh Katnoria, Medway Service Manager at Carers First is spending Diwali with loved ones,
“We will be lighting up the house with lots of candles in every room and sharing Indian sweet dishes. There will be lots of fireworks lighting up the sky in celebration for the week. I’m especially excited as Diwali falls around my birthday, and growing up I always thought everyone was celebrating with me. Diwali brings light over darkness and good over evil, and time for reflection, bringing fortune and happiness to everyone.”
