How to book your winter vaccinations and why they are important
Published
27/10/22
The best time to get vaccinated is in the autumn, before the cold temperatures start.

Following the announcement that carers would be included in the priority group for flu jabs and COVID boosters, Carers First is urging carers not to wait to get their vaccinations this autumn.

As a carer, you may be more likely to be in close contact with someone vulnerable, that’s why it’s important for carers to get their free flu vaccine and COVID-19 booster when they are invited by the NHS.

The flu spreads from person to person – even amongst those not showing symptoms. The vaccine is the best protection for you and those around you. There is a national “find a pharmacy” service where residents can find their nearest pharmacy to get a flu vaccine here.

Find out more and how to book through the NHS website, or speak to your local pharmacy or GP.
