Ann-Marie Shepherd Helpline Manager
As Helpline Manager, Ann-Marie looks after the team providing the first point of contact for carers. She enjoys the roles because of the shared vision and dedication the charity has towards supporting unpaid carers.
When Ann-Marie relocated to Kent 10 years ago, Carers First was the only supporting services she was aware of at the time. As a full-time carer for both her partner and mother, she realised how vital support is in allowing carers to have an identity and make informed decisions and wanted to work for an organisation that held that vision. She joined Carers First in 2015 with 20 years of experience working for local authorities, mainly in customer service.
